PROGRAMMA
From 15 September until 3 October 2017 the centre of Haarlem will reverberate to the music by the Dutch composers Hendrik Andriessen and Albert de Klerk. Musicians from home and abroad will perform in several churches and concert halls in a wide ranging programme of chamber music, piano and organ music, songs, oratorios and choral works.
UNVEILING PLAQUES
Sa 9 September, 17:00
Plaques will be unveiled at the houses where Hendrik Andriessen and Albert de Klerk were born (Bakenessergracht 26a and 26 in Haarlem) by the mayor of Haarlem, Jos Wienen.
KORENLINT 2017
Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September (all over Haarlem)
The 14th edition of the traditional Korenlint, organized by the Federation of Haarlem Choirs will have as its main theme this year the music of the Haarlem composers Andriessen and De Klerk.

Compositions by Jurriaan Andriessen to commemorate the 75th and 100th birthday of Hendrik Andriessen. World premiere of the organ composition by Louis Andriessen: De goddelijke routine [The heavenly routine] played by Gonny van der Maten for Hendrik Andriessen’s 125th birthday.
CHORAL AND ORGAN RECITAL
Sunday 17 September, 15:00 St. Joseph’s Church
Sacred and secular choral compositions by Andriessen, De Klerk and Strategier by the St. Joris Chamber Choir conducted by Wouter Verhage with Piet Hulsbos – organ. A second performance of De goddelijke routine [The heavenly routine] by Louis Andriessen by Gonny van der Maten.
SUMMER EVENING MUSIC – VESPERS
Sunday 17 September, 19:00 Great or St. Bavo Church
With music by Andriessen and De Klerk.

For students from conservatoires from all over the Netherlands given by Leo van Doeselaar (student of Albert de Klerk) and Gemma Coebergh (student of Albert de Klerk and his successor as organist).
HENDRIK ANDRIESSEN: ORGAN COMPOSITIONS AND MIROIR DE PEINE

The British organist Ben Saunders plays organ works by Hendrik Andriessen and accompanies soprano Francis van Broekhuizen in the beautiful Miroir de peine.
CHORAL CONCERT
Saturday 23 September, 20:15 Concert hall Philharmonie
The Concert Choir Haarlem and the Dutch Accompaniments Orchestra conducted by Ger Vos perform Stabat Mater by De Klerk and L’Histoire de l’enfant de Dieu by Andreissen with as soloists Carina Vinke (contralto) and Falco van Loon (tenor). And another opportunity to hear a performance of De goddelijke routine [The heavenly routine] by Louis Andriessen performed by Gonny van der Maten.
This concert will be introduced by Willem Jan Cevaal musicologist and organist at 19:30.
CITY ORGAN RECITAL
Tuesday 26 September, 20:15 Great or St. Bavo Church
City organist Jos van der Kooy and organ students othe Royal Conservaoire in The Hague.
THE MIRROR OF VENICE
Tuesday and Wednesday 26 and 27 September, 20:15 City theatre
Especially for the Andriessen/De Klerk Festival 2017 the Haarlem Opera together with the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp will perform the premiere of this comic opera by Hendrik Andriessen.
CONCERT BY STUDENTS OF THE CONSERVATOIRE
Thursday 28 September, 20:15 St. Joseph’s Church
Concert given by students studying organ and singing in Codarts Rotterdam and the Conservatoire of Amsterdam with organ repertoire from the workshops 23 September and songs.
CHORAL AND ORGAN RECITAL
Saturday 30 September, 15:00 St. Bavo Cathedral
Sacred choral works and compositions for organ by Andriessen and De Klerk including the seldom performed Sinfonia for organ by Andriessen. The Bavo Choir is conducted by Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen with Ton van Eck – organ.
COFFEE CONCERT
Sunday 1 October, 11:30 Andriessen Piano Store
Song recital by Iris de Koomen (soprano) and Laura Hölzenspies (piano). Perform songs and piano compositions by Andriessen, De Klerk and Mul.
CLOSING CONCERT
Tuesday 3 October, 20:15 Concert Hall Philharmonie
During the festive closing concert compositions for orchestra and organ by Andriessen and De Klerk will be performed including Miroir de peine – Hendrik Andriessen in the version for soprano and strings and the Organ concerto (1941) by Albert de Klerk composed for his Prix d’Excellence.
